The Vaisala LAP®-12000 Tropospheric Wind Profiler provides vertical profiles of wind speed/direction up to altitudes of 12 km or higher, depending upon atmospheric conditions. It is a customized, state-of-the-art wind profiling system which is always designed in cooperation with the customer for a particular site and operational requirements.

The LAP®-12000 operates at a fixed frequency within the defined frequency range of 44 to 68 MHz. It comprises system hardware components and software elements that are licensed and manufactured by Vaisala, along with commercial off-the-shelf antenna and amplifier technology.
